It should be noted that Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and all over the world will celebrate an unforgettable day in the history of Kashmir “Kashmir Martyrs’ Day” on Monday.

There is a curfew and lockdown in the occupied valley after India’s illegal move on August 5 last year, but Kashmiris still have the same determination and passion. Which shows the unshakable intention that the struggle will continue till the completion of the Kashmir Independence Movement. Kashmir Martyrs’ Day will not be the first public holiday in the occupied valley.

On the occasion of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, Kashmiri people from both sides of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan and around the world will pay homage to the great Kashmiri martyrs by organizing celebrations, rallies and seminars.

The Occupied Territories have witnessed the blood of martyrs for seven decades, but July 13, 1931 is one such bloody day in the history of Kashmiris. 22 innocent Muslims sacrificed their lives in Srinagar and founded the Kashmir Independence Movement, the unjust bloodshed of Kashmiris 89 years ago is still fresh today, Kashmir Martyrs’ Day is being commemorated in memory of the freedom fighters.

On July 13, 1931, oppressed Kashmiri men gathered outside the Srinagar Jail to pay their respects to Mujahid Abdul Qadeer Khan, from where Abdul Qadeer Khan was to be taken to court.

Meanwhile, it was time for Zuhr prayers and Kashmiri protesters were not allowed to offer prayers. In such a situation, when a Kashmiri stood up for the call to prayer, the soldier of the Dogra Maharaja fired bullets and then the freedom fighters completed the call to prayer by sacrificing 21 lives in a row.

Against this Holi of blood, Kashmiris celebrate Martyrs’ Day on July 13 every year and further strengthen their pledge that the war of independence will continue in Kashmir till the last Muslim and the last drop of blood of the last Muslim.
