Kashmiri leader Shabir Shah is seriously ill and he can hardly stand on his feet, Sehar Shabir

Sehar Shabir Shah, daughter of Kashmiri leader Shabir Shah says in a tweet, My father Shabir Shah who has spent 33 years of his life in jail and is currently lodged in Tihar jail, New Delhi since last four years is suffering from serious ailments. She said he is seriously ill and he can hardly stand on his feet. He is not able to balance properly.

She said most of the time he needs stick to support himself. On lying down on the floor head on the hard pillow, he feels like current is passing through his head. He is in real distress. Some doctor has seen him at Tihar jail and has advised MRI Brain especially for cerebellar region. And due to COVID-19 it is very dangerous to take him to hospital from jail for MRI. As I mentioned before too that Despite innumerable and continuous miseries brought to my father, he remains steadfast, strong and brave, and unshakable in his commitment towards the [freedom] cause; his resolve remains as strong as it was about fifty years back when he started his long and just struggle towards a much-cherished goal of resolving the Kashmir issue. All we can do is pray for his good health, she said.
