Lahore, August 06 (Online Int’l): Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh has said that Kashmiri people are creating history with their fight for freedom and independence.
He said the Pakistani nation stands with them and India cannot suppress their struggle for independence of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. “With its cruel and aggressive measures in the held valley and by removing the special status of the occupied valley, India has shown its hypocritical face to the world”, Adnan pointed out.
He further stated that the Indian move is tantamount to depriving the Kashmiri people of their basic rights, he said this before media while representing Sports Board Punjab at the Kashmir Exploitation Day rally organized by the Punjab government yesterday.
Former Test cricketer Saeed Ajmal, International kabaddi player Shafiq Chishti, Director Admin on behalf of Sports Board Punjab Javed Chauhan and others also participated in the rally. Participants held Kashmir and Pakistan flags.
Adnan added that India has targeted Kashmiri brothers, sisters, children and elders. “The mountains of oppression have been broken by India with a brutal approach but the spirit of independence among Kashmiris could not be repressed. On August 5 last year, India deprived the Kashmiri people of their basic rights by removing the special status of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir under an unconstitutional and illegal measure.”
Against the Indian move, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to observe Kashmir Exploitation Day and Sports Board Punjab has also fully participated in the campaign.
