Khalil-ur-Rehman made disparaging remarks about Mahira Khan

Well-known dramatist and writer Khalil-ur-Rehman made disparaging remarks about celebrity Mahira Khan, leading director and filmmaker Mohammad Ehteshamuddin stepped to the field in favour of the actress.

A video of Khalil-ur-Rehman from a private show became popular on social media a few days ago, in which the host showed the author photographs of numerous celebrities and showbiz icons, including Mahira Khan, and asked for his thoughts on them.

Looking at Mahira Khan’s photo, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar expressed his regret for the rest of his life, saying, “I will be sad for the rest of my life since Mahira serialised my life and played the role of a heroine in this drama; this sadness will last forever.”

Director Mohammad Ehteshamuddin made Mahira Khan proud by sharing a social media message after the film clip became viral.

In his tweet, Muhammad Ehteshamuddin stated, “No matter what anyone says about you, I am proud of you and will always be.”

The filmmaker also praised Mahira Khan’s hard work for the many parts she portrayed in a message to her.

Mahira Khan returned years later through a private TV production, and the director conveyed many prayers and best wishes for her.
