Khawaja Asif Fails to Turn up for NAB Hearing

Notice issued for repeat summons

According to Baaghi TV the National Accountability Bureau has summoned Khawaja Asif on 3rd July. He had been directed to present himself along with the required documents at 11am today but he did not appear. His lawyer submitted the response in court that he cannot appear due to the National Assembly session and he will appear in whatever date is given next. After this NAB summoned him again.

It should be clear that NAB had summoned Khawaja Asif to come along with the record of the housing society. NAB has asked for details from the former Foreign Minister regarding how much his family invested in the Cantt Housing Society Sialkot, and what was the source of income invested.

Khawaja Asif is accused of illegally selling 137 kanals of land in collusion with the society. They captured the land of those citizens who never sold it. NAB has alleged that the lands were captured illegally by Former Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif misusing the privileges of his position. He took multiple approvals of the illegal society from the revenue authority.
