KP Govt not to hinder peaceful protest demonstration: Ajmal Wazir

PESHAWAR, Nov 14 (APP):Adviser to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ajmal Wazir on Information for merged areas said here Thursday that holding protest was a constitutional right of anyone and the KP government would not hinder protest demonstrations that were taken out peacefully.

Addressing a press conference he said “ Government will go strictly by the book, holding protest within ambit of the Constitution was right of everyone, so the KP government would not prevent protest demonstrations in the province provided that those remains peaceful as per the Constitution”.

Referring to the plan-B of JUI-F, which featured blocking of main highways across the length and breadth of the country. He said the JUI-F would achieve nothing out of blocking roads as part of its so-called plan-B, but it would only add to sufferings of common people.

He said the government had always kept its word and it religiously honored agreements that reached with the JUI-F pertaining to Azadi March. But the government could not allow anyone to take law into own hands by resorting to unruly or troublesome political activities.
