KP PMS trainee officers visit to Central Police Office

Lahore: Additional IG Operations Sahibzada Shehzad Sultan said that Punjab Police is making full use of modern IT technology to maintain rule of law in the society, protect life and property of citizens and facilitate service delivery so that according to smart and community   principles of policing, the problems of the citizens should not only be solved immediately but also the relations between the police and the citizens could be further improved and strengthened.He further said that IT projects of Punjab Police have been provided to the police forces of other provinces including Sindh, KPK and Azad Kashmir while steps are being taken on priority basis to transform Punjab Police into a people friendly service along with Crime Centric Force.  He further said that “Anti-Women Harassment and Violence Cells” are being set up across the province for immediate action against crimes related to women where lady police personnel performing the duties of Victim Support Officers provide all possible support and assistance to the affected women. He expressed these views while talking to trainee officers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Management Service who were on a study visit to the Central Police Office here today.  The officers in the delegation were briefed about modern policing and public service delivery IT projects.

AIG Operations Zeeshan Raza briefed the delegation about the operational procedures of Punjab Police, modern specialized forces, general policing and service delivery projects.  A brief documentary for steps taken for transformation of Punjab police from crime fighting force to Public friendly force was shown to the participants of the delegation.  Briefing the participants, AIG Operations further said that Regional Monitoring Units have been set up at the Investigation Headquarters to improve the investigation matters while digital monitoring of investigation stages is also underway with the registration of cases.  He further said that due to the excellent strategy and timely action of Punjab Police, terrorism, kidnapping for ransom and other serious crimes have been significantly reduced in the province.  The Additional IG Operations also answered the queries raised by the officers on various topics. At the end of the briefing, commemorative souvenirs were exchanged between the Head of the delegation and the Additional IG Operations.  DIG Training Dr. Suleiman Sultan Rana, AIG Operations Syed Zeeshan Raza and AIG Training Muhammad Muaz Zafar and other officers were present on the occasion.
