PESHAWAR, Dec 24 (APP):Senior Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Atif Khan has said that he was in contact with an international consultant for the establishment of a Water Theme Park at Hund, district Swabi. He said that the proposed Water Theme Park equipped with all recreational facilities would be established soon.
He expressed these views while talking to Special Assistant to KP CM on Industries and Commerce, Abdul Karim Khan here in his office on Tuesday. Secretary Tourism, Kamran Rehman and Director General (Sports) Asfandyar Khattak were also present on the occasion.
During meeting, the Special Assistant to KP CM briefed the senior minister regarding various ongoing development schemes in district Swabi and identified seven sites playgrounds in the district under 1000 playgrounds project of the provincial government.
The senior minister directed the authorities of the Directorate of Sports for early visit to the district to review these sites as soon as possible. He also informed the senior minister regarding archeological sites and solarization of Hund Museum, Swabi.
Speaking on the occasion, the senior minister said that the objective of the 1000 playground project to provide sports opportunities to youth at gross-root level for which an amount of Rs.5.5 billion have been allocated in the budget.
He said that the youth of the province possessing unprecedented talent but they require provision of opportunity while the provincial government was working on the same agenda to provide sports opportunities to them at gross-root level.
