Riyadh, 23rd November: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has clarified its stance over rumours of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s secret visit to the country. 

According to Baaghi TV reports, the Saudi foreign minister has denied the Israeli prime minister’s visit to Saudi Arabia, saying reports of a meeting between the crown prince and Israeli officials were baseless.

A statement issued by Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Twitter said that only US and Saudi officials were present at the meeting with Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman. It is believed that false news of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s secret visit to Saudi Arabia is circulating in the world media.

 

He wrote, “I have seen press reports about a purported meeting between HRH the Crown Prince and Israeli officials during the recent visit by @SecPompeo. No such meeting occurred. The only officials present were American and Saudi.”

The foreign news agency claims that the Israeli Prime Minister paid a secret visit to Saudi Arabia on Sunday and met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the city of Neom in Tabuk province.

According to foreign media, the US Secretary of State was also present during the meeting between Netanyahu and Muhammad bin Salman. Israeli Education Minister and state media have confirmed Netanyahu’s visit to Saudi Arabia.
