June 26th, 2020: Kuwait Airways decides to ground all 7 pilots and suspended around 56 engineers and ground-handling staff.

According to the sources of Baaghi TV, seven Pakistani pilots and 56 ground staff has been allegedly grounded by Kuwait Airways after it was found that 30% of the country’s civilian pilots have fake licenses.

According to the sources, Baaghi TV has received some similar reports from Qatar and Oman as well.

“They have written a letter to CAA to ask for list of 150 pilots so they can be grounded. Letter may not be dubious after all,” as per the PIA spokesperson.

While addressing Pakistan’s National Assembly, Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that the country has 860 active pilots serving its domestic airlines, as well as some foreign carriers, and that 262 have fake licences and are not qualified to fly.

The government has decided to take strict action against all pilots who have been flying commercial jets without a licence.
