Baaghi TV: Kuwait has decided to deport 530,000 migrants to balance the population.

According to a report of a foreign news agency, the Minister of Social and Economic Affairs Maryam Al-Aqeel reviewed the population balance reform scheme during the meeting of the parliamentary committee.

According to Kuwaiti media, the implementation of this decision will begin with the deportation of illegal immigrants in the country, under which 120,000 immigrants will be deported from Kuwait.

According to the report, workers over the age of 60 and migrants suffering from incurable diseases will also be discharged. Their number is around 1.5 million.

The Kuwaiti government has also decided to expel illiterate workers or low-educated migrants, numbering more than 90,000.

Kuwaiti Minister of Social and Economic Affairs Maryam Al-Aqeel said that the Kuwaiti population has increased dramatically in the last 15 years. The birth rate of local citizens has reached 55% while the number of migrants has increased by 100% in 15 years.

Maryam Al-Aqeel has asked government and private institutions to appoint locals instead of foreigners in 160,000 posts.
