Lahore Harassment Case: Police fail to arrest youth, case registered

An obscene youth who was allegedly molesting a woman on a rickshaw on Independence Day in Lahore has not yet been caught by the law, but police have registered a case.

In a video that went viral on social media, a young man was seen pounding on a highway while a young man came on the rickshaw and forcibly kissed the young girl, leaving the girl stunned.

In such a situation, many other youths also move towards the Chingchi  rickshaw but the other girl sitting next to the girl takes off her slippers and stops those coming towards them.

The case of the incident was registered in the complaint of SHO

No arrests have been made so far in the incident, but a case was registered at Lari Ada police station on the complaint of the SHO.

The FIR said that two girls and a girl were sitting in the back seat of the Ching Chi rickshaw.

According to the FIR, 10 to 12 obscene boys kept shouting at the girls sitting in the rickshaw. Meanwhile, a boy wearing a white shirt forcibly got on the rickshaw.

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar sought a report from the Inspector General of Police on the incidents of viral videos of harassment of women in Lahore.

The Punjab Chief Minister ordered the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the incidents.
