Baaghi TV, Lahore, Motorway Incident: The prime suspect in the motorway rape case has been identified. According to reports, the suspect, Abid Ali, is a resident of Fort Abbas. According to private media channel coverage, the police has stated that the suspect Abid Ali belongs to Fort Abbas.
The DNA profile of the suspect in a 2013 database, has been matched with that found on the garments of the victim. The suspect has not yet been arrested, and CTD teams are conducting raids for his arrest.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar chaired a meeting of an investigative committee formed for the Lahore Motorway Incident and while directing a quick resolution, he declared that until a Motorway Police team is assigned, Punjab Police will carry our duties. Chief Minister Punjab said the perpetrators of this heartrending incident will not escape punishment, and he will not relax until the affected family gets justice. Not just the government but the whole nation stands with the afflicted family.
