Lahore Qalandars to play against Quetta Gladiators today
Lahore: Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators will face each other in the 16th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) fifth edition.
The match is scheduled to start at 7 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST) at the Gaddafi Stadium today.
Qalandars will clash with Gladiators at their home ground today seeking for their first win of the tournament. Sitting at the bottom of the table, Qalandars will be looking for their elusive first win of the league against the Gladiators. On the other hand, Gladiators are currently placed second (six points) with three wins and two losses from five matches.
Yesterday, Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by six wickets in Rawalpindi Stadium. This was the second encounter between the two teams but the results remained the same. Babar Azam played an unbeaten innings of 70 runs while Alex Hales scored 49. Mohammad Amir bowled brilliantly and took four wickets and was named the best player of the match.
So far, the defending champions Quetta Gladiators have won 3 matches while Multan Sultans leads the table with 4 victories. Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi have managed to win 2 matches each. Karachi Kings take the third spot with six points to their name and Lahore Qalandars remains at the bottom.
The top four sides after 30 matches will progress to the play-offs, followed by the March 22 final, in Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
