Lahore Rape Case: Village of the accused identified
Lahore, 10th September: IG Punjab Inam Ghani has claimed that the village of the accused who raped a woman in Gujjarpura in Lahore has been identified. ۔
The IG Punjab said that significant progress has been made in the Gujjarpura rape case. The police have investigated and traced the village of the accused.
He said that armed men tortured the woman with sticks and then broke the glass and raped her, which was also confirmed in the medical report.

On the other hand, police sources said that the police have sent the sealed samples to the Punjab Forensic Lab while a 5 km area was searched and geo-fencing of three places has been completed.
According to sources, the police have started searching the area. There are 26 police teams in and around Karol village while the investigation team is working to gather evidence from the spot.
On the other hand, CCPO Lahore has claimed that we have reached out to the accused and will arrest them within 48 hours.
IG Punjab Inam Ghani said that we have reached the village where the accused belong.
The IG Punjab said that 20 teams were working on it and the DIG himself was looking into the investigation and the accused would be arrested soon.
Alleged rape of a woman near motorway, police in action
IG Punjab Inam Ghani said that 70 accused have been profiled, geo-fenced and 12 accused will be subjected to a DNA test.
Reportedly, a woman was sexually assaulted and looted on a deserted road on the motorway yesterday night. People have demanded harsh punishment for the attackers.
