Lahore to Become Smoke Free City
LAHORE (15th Nov, 2019): District authorities have drafted a comprehensive plan to turn Lahore into a smoke free city.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, in a bid to control passive smoking, district authorities have drafted a comprehensive plan to turn Lahore into a tobacco free city.
The ‘tobacco-smoke free city’ plan was discussed in presence of 17 key officers of federal and provincial departments at a meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Lahore.

Sources have confirmed that smoking will be banned in all public places of Lahore, including parks, marriage halls and public transport. On top of this, the sale of cigarettes within 50 metre radius of any educational institute will be prohibited.

Moreover, anti-smoking banners will be effectively placed on the gates of schools and college campuses in order to turn Lahore into a smoke free city.
