According to Erna’s report, US President Trump, while taking a stand on the changing situation in Lebanon, said that the explosion at the port of Beirut, according to him, led to a revolution in Lebanon.

Earlier, US President Trump also made a statement, “I have announced my support for the pro-Western group in Lebanon since March 14.”

On the other hand, the French Foreign Ministry has also called for the resignation of the Lebanese government. The French Foreign Ministry says a new government needs to be formed in Lebanon as soon as possible. The French Foreign Ministry says Beirut’s reconstruction and reform efforts are major issues that will continue to challenge Lebanon’s next government.

Six Lebanese govt officials resign after Beirut explosions

Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab announced his resignation on Monday amid pressure on the government following the Beirut bombings. Lebanese President Michel Aoun accepted his resignation and made him caretaker prime minister, and Hassan Diab will continue to serve as prime minister until a new prime minister is appointed.

A large stockpile of ammonium nitrate exploded following a fire at a flammable warehouse in the port of Beirut, the Lebanese capital, on Tuesday evening, causing widespread destruction.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the death toll in the Beirut tragedy is close to 200 and the number of injured is more than 6,000.
