Lahore (9th Sept, 2020): Letter from PIA to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, which directors were removed? 

According to the reports of Baaghi TV, a letter has been sent by PIA to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited.

A letter issued by PIA said that the directors of the company have been removed by PIA. Among the directors who have been removed from their posts are Aslam R Khan, Noor Ahmed, Atif Aslam Raja, Naveed Kamran Baloch, Hassan Nasir Jarmi, Farrukh H Khan, Tariq Kirmani, Naveed H Malik, Haq Nawaz.

The process of punishment and retribution has been started in PIA on the basis of performance. The steps taken by the government to improve the PIA have started showing signs of improvement.

PIAHR has released data on August convictions and punishments, according to which 74 employees were fired in August 2020, it was also stated that these employees have fake education certificates. Negligence of duty, damage to property, bribery, smuggling and drug use proved.

Officials say the accountability process at PIA is being brought to a logical conclusion as soon as possible to rid the agency of black sheep, while a PIA spokesman says long-delayed inquiries and investigations will be completed soon.

On the other hand, the spokesperson said that there is no place for negligence and criminal elements in the PIA. The spokesperson also said that action against them is a key part of the reform process of the PIA.

It may be recalled that after the recent plane crash in Karachi, investigations are underway against the employees of Pakistan International Airlines. In this regard, the licenses of several pilots with fake degrees have been revoked while they have also been fired.
