Levies Vehicle Hits Landmine in Balochistan, 3 Soldiers Martyred

A Levies vehicle collided with a landmine near the Mangi Dam in Balochistan, martyring three soldiers and injuring three more.

Balochistan government spokesman Liaquat Shahwani said in a message on Twitter that the accident took place near Mangi Dam where the vehicle collided with a landmine.

Three Pakistan Army personnel were martyred and three others were injured in the incident. The injured are being shifted to a hospital in Quetta and the martyrs include a Major Risaldar, a Hawaldar, and a soldier.

Liaqat Shahwani prayed for the forgiveness of the martyrs as well as for the recovery of the wounded soldiers.

It may be recalled that seven suspected terrorists were killed in a clash with security forces in the Loralai district of Balochistan yesterday.

The operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence reports of the presence of terrorists in the Kohar Dam area. The terrorists were hiding in the compound and the security forces surrounded them and demanded their surrender, but they opened fire.

Security forces returned fire immediately and seven gunmen were killed in the two-hour exchange.

On August 22, a captain was martyred and two young men were also injured in a terrorist attack in the Gachak area of ​​Balochistan Province.

Earlier on August 20, two children were killed in a suicide bombing near a vehicle carrying Chinese nationals in the Gwadar district of Balochistan.
