Libya and the Glorious Past

How Libya descended into chaos is incredibly too hard to digest. Till the year 2010… Libya was a booming country. A premium lifestyle that Qaddafi’s government offered to its citizens.

One of the top few countries which was rolling in riches… the interminable supply of fuel made life of a common man much easier. Unlike the despots of other countries in the region, the people’s money was spent on the people. They were happy. They had free education. House loans, free business loans with no encumbrances, fifty thousand dollars as a gift by the monarch to start a new life.

The country was making progress by leaps and bounds from widened roads to mesmerising canal systems to modern schools and universities. But came the Arab spring and no sooner the country was engulfed by widespread riots. All this started on social media and soon the whole country was immersed in an irretrievable morass, now the rag tag militia ruled the roads of Libya. Many wanted Qaddafi to just abdicate. The poor Qaddafi ran for his life in the end.

The unruly crowd though small in numbers have managed to convince the outside world that they no longer want to serve under the despotic rule of Qaddafi. This attracts the attention of the foreign powers. They however, are hell bent to rescue the Libyans from the tyrannical rule of Muammar Gaddafi. This perception is taking root hence the Americans start supporting the rebels, while the military is out there to control the angry crowds, who are pitched against the army. And the hell breaks loose.

The scene is in fact a hyperbole as far as the small number of the victims is concerned. On Facebook the number is wrongfully shown and misrepresented and hyper inflated. The Americans get a chance to invade Libya thereby helping the rebellions, and now launching full time operations against the army. Once the Messiah, he is now being dubbed as a usurper of the peoples rights. All humanitarian organizations demonize Qaddafi and a negative propaganda grips the entire world. This is 2011 and the country has turned into rubble. The savage hunt for Qaddafi is on. He gets apprehended. In a much barbarous act he is killed mercilessly in broad daylight bringing end to the glorious rule of Qaddafi.

While there is fighting going on, the locals are helping foreign forces gleefully enjoying and deriving pleasure out of this mayhem and destruction. Al Qaeda, the western forces, the civil rebel forces all are on the same page. There is no electricity, no water and no food. People are looting, plundering and pillaging. Unemployment is rampant, the drilling of oil is now in the hands of foreign powers. The bliss is gone.

Once a beautiful country, it is now representing an eerie ghost town.

Soon after this uprising, Yemen and Syria became the precipice for the same disaster. We can clearly see who benefits from such bravado. Gradually more countries have borne the brunt of such gun toting misadventures leading to complete annihilation of human races. It is prayed that the Gazans and Yemenis are spared the wrath of the foreign forces so people can once again heave a sigh of relief returning back to their homes with everlasting peace.

The perpetrators of this gory drama, the Anglo Zionists shamelessly pursue their agenda unimpeded. All the extended chaos and turbulence extended into other parts of the African region is due to a destabilized Libya. Correspondingly, we have seen anarchy in Sudan and Somalia.
