Loadshedding is observed in power pilferage stricken areas: K-Electric

KARACHI,  July 16 (Online):  K-Electric spokesperson Adil Murtaza has said load-shedding is observed in those areas of Karachi where power pilferage occurs.

Talking to a private TV channel here Thursday he said K-Electric  certain consumers are not paying their bills. Loadshedding is caused some time due to technical fault in lines.

Federal government is extending help to K-Electric in certain matters, he pointed out and we are thankful to them for their cooperation and assistance.

He held power demand decreases in monsoon season. He appealed to the consumers to pay the bills in time so that electricity supply could be maintained.

He remarked electricity crisis in Karachi, city of lights has aggravated and demand-supply gap has widened by 500 megawatts. Power plants production of K-Electric stands restricted to 1800 megawatt.

He indicated 300 megawatt electricity is being provided  by private power plants and 700 megawatt electricity from national grid to K-Electric.  Power demand stands at 3300 megawatt in Karachi.
