Lahore, 2nd June: Lockdown has been extended in Punjab and this decision has been taken in the light of the recommendations of the federal government and the provincial cabinet, and Primary and Secondary Health Department.
According to the notification, educational institutions, wedding halls, restaurants, parks and cinema halls will remain closed. The notification said that social and religious gatherings and sports activities will not be allowed till further notice.
According to sources, all business places will be open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Medical stores, flour mill ovens, and agricultural shops will be allowed to be open 24 hours a day. Call centers will be allowed to be open with 50% staff.
The notification said that inter-district transport would be allowed to run 24 hours a day. Grocery stores will be open all week, from 9am to 7pm.
All churches will be open for worship only on Sundays from 7 am to 5 pm.
According to the new announcement, the notification will remain in force till June 15.
