From the time PM Imran Khan was elected, we as a nation want only Imran Khan to fix all the issues for us, that have been created in last 40 years. Is it justified? is a question about which no one even thinks.

In a place where from peon till presidents were involved in either corruption or malpractices, how do you expect one person to do it right for us? Although it is unfortunate that he couldn’t build an effective team but not all the blames rest on his shoulders alone. Let me give you a few examples from ongoing issues so that we better understand the situation.

We all knew the last year that the locust was going to play havoc in coming years. PM constituted a committee to bring up the plant protection department which was responsible for maintaining and operating the spray aircraft. First of all this committee did not include the experts from General Aviation despite their request in writing for the same and even an offer that General Aviation operators can and are willing to provide free of cost support by providing pilots and maintenance to operate the existing aircraft of plant protection department, just for love of the country. There are four Beaver spraying aircraft out of dozens of aircraft which are fully serviceable but are not being operated for the reasons best known to the government or at least some corrupt officials who are adamant in buying the new aircraft.

A tender was floated for buying 06 new aircraft in June 2020 with some specifics with which you could only buy the aircraft which costs more than a Million USD. This tender document says that NDMA, PM Office wants to buy the aircraft similar to Air Tractor. With this term you could only participate in tender for aircraft made by two US companies where one was well established and other one has been bankrupt. Unfortunately, due to the specific terms the country will end up buying aircraft of a company well known for bankruptcy and soon we will find another situation where this company will cease to exist and the maintenance and parts support will finish.

Again we will have more aircraft bought on the tax payers money ending up in the same grave yard of Plant Protection Department already well known for managing to dump the several dozen aircraft on its inventory. Although for less than the price of one aircraft that is being bought, at least a dozen aircraft available in PPD can be made serviceable. NDMA was offered in writing that the writer is willing to provide Free of Cost services (Pilots/Maintenance support) to operate it’s four aircraft and to finish the menace of present locust attack in two to three months from the country as it paramount to our food security, the offer was not taken but in return an appreciation which is hereby declined was offered.

The Supreme Court may take a notice on this issue as well since nothing gets noticed till the time our honourable courts intervene as systems are not working but have been made complicated for the reasons we all know.

Similarly, COVID-19 was left to be dealt by the PM only as the provinces were taking irrational decisions. Honestly, in the beginning and being in panic I supported the lockdown decision myself also. But I realized it sooner than later that if we enacted such kind of lockdown that we had imposed in the month of March 2020 soon we will have about 120 Million people going below the poverty line. But to some lockdown suited as they were busy in minting money from the business community in the name of permitting to run their industries or businesses by issuing so called standard operating procedures. If lockdown was finished and businesses were free to operate they no longer were important and who would give a damn to them. Unfortunately the businesses that were facing such torture included right from barber shops to the large factories.

The strategy of smart lockdown seems to be working with which there may be an addition of smart opening, well it looks stupid though it may reduce the interactions and large gathering by opening the businesses and govt offices out of the hours or even on 24 hours basis. A point to ponder….

I conclude by saying that not a single person alone can do it right for you please play your role in nation’s building by justifying in what your duty is for your own job, I assure you that we will become a strong nation within no time.
