Mumbai: A three-storey building collapsed, killing several


According to the reports a three-storey building collapsed in Mumbai’s Bhiwandi area, killing eight people. Rescue teams rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.

Rescue teams recovered eight bodies from the rubble and recovered 20 injured people who were rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.

According to rescue officials, about 40 people are still trapped in the wreckage, and work is underway to evacuate them. Heavy contingents of police have also reached the spot, emergency has been declared in Mumbai hospitals.

Rescue teams, with the help of locals, rescued 20 people and rushed them to the hospital in critical condition, where they are being treated.

Locals are also partnering with a large number of rescue teams to carry out rescue work in the collapsed building. More deaths are expected in the crash.
