Manchester Test: Babar’s half century, Pakistan scored 139 runs for 2 wickets

Manchester: The first day of the first match of the ongoing three-Test series between Pakistan and England was canceled due to poor lighting.

In the match being played at Old Trafford Ground in Manchester, Pakistani captain Azhar Ali won the toss and elected to bat first.

The start of the national team was not impressive and opener Abid Ali’s total score of 36 runs was bowled by Joffra Archer.

The second Pakistani batsman to be dismissed was captain Azhar Ali, who fell victim to Chris Vokes without opening an account.

After 2 wickets, Babar Azam and Shan Masood led the innings responsibly.

Babar Azam completed a half-century and is at the crease at 69 while Shan Masood has scored 46 runs.

Pakistan have scored 139 runs for the loss of 2 wickets while only 49 overs could be bowled due to low light and the first day’s play was over.

The Pakistan team for the first Test consists of Azhar Ali (captain), Shan Masood, Abid Ali, Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan (wicket keeper), Yasir Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Abbas and Naseem Shah.
