Maryam Nawaz challenges the FBR notice in LHC

Lahore, 16th September: PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz has challenged the FBR notice in the Lahore High Court.

In the petition filed by Maryam Nawaz in the Lahore High Court, the court has been requested to quash the notices sent by the Lahore High Court and the decision of the single bench. The FBR and others have been made parties in the petition.

The petitioner has said that notices of income support levy tax of Rs. 657,000 have been sent. Despite paying all taxes, the FBR has sent recovery notices.

It may be mentioned that FBR has imposed income support levy of Rs. 657,000 and default surcharge of Rs. 600,000 on Maryam Nawaz while tax notices amounting to Rs. 12.57 million were issued.

Maryam Nawaz’s movable assets were taxed at Rs. 131.4 million in 2013 and income support levy was taxed at Rs. 657,000 in 2013.
