MD RWMC proposes to celebrate “Salam Sanitation Day” on April 1st

RAWALPINDI, 31st March: Managing Director Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) Awais Manzoor Tarar, here on Wednesday, said that sanitary workers are always at the front line in all emergency situations.

Chairing a meeting at his office, the director said that they are to observe first April as “Salam Sanitation Day” (this Thursday) to pay our respect to the professional dedication of sanitary workers, and acknowledge their tireless services.

The MD called upon citizens to behave diligently with sanitary staff and cooperate with them. He futher stated that purpose of celebrating this Day is to highlight the significant role of sanitary workers who are always sacrificing their off days for private engagements in order to fulfill their duties even on public holidays. Therefore, it is our responsibility to maintain sanitation in our surrounding areas by ourselves and by paying them regards on this day.
