Meeting between Army Chief and Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense
According to the report of Baaghi TV, Pakistan’s Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa is on a visit to Saudi Arabia.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has met Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman. According to DG ISPR, in the meeting, Army Chief General Bajwa and Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz discussed mutual cooperation and regional security.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was accompanied by DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed during the meeting. Prince Khalid bin Salman is the brother of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and the son of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

After the meeting, Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Shahrada Khalid bin Salman tweeted on the social networking site Twitter that “I have met my brother Pakistani Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa today. We discussed Saudi-Pakistani bilateral relations, military cooperation and the common vision of the two countries to safeguard regional peace.”

According to Saudi news agency SPA, Prince Khalid bin Salman and Pakistan’s army chief reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. In particular, military and defense relations between the two countries were discussed. Issues of mutual interest and ways to promote joint cooperation to safeguard peace and stability were also discussed during the meeting.
According to the news agency, General Fayyaz bin Hamid Al-Rawili, Chief of the Saudi Armed Forces, Maj. Gen. Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Advisor to the Minister of Defense, and Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, Director General of the Deputy Defense Minister’s Office were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, when Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Saudi Arabia, he was given a warm welcome, a guard of honor was presented to the Pakistan Army Chief, and a salute was given. Later, a reception was given in honor of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his delegation. Faiz Hameed is also accompanying the Army Chief.
Later, the Chief of Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces General Fayyaz bin Hamid Al Rawli was received in Riyadh by the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his accompanying delegation.
The Saudi Defense Ministry said in a statement on its official Twitter account that “General Al-Rawili has welcomed the Pakistani army chief to his second home in Saudi Arabia.”
A statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Defense said that General Al-Rawili and General Bajwa reviewed the new dimensions of military cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and ways to strengthen and consolidate them. In addition, issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
