According to reports, the former Duchess, Meghan Markle has shared a special message with the graduating class of her former High School. In her surprise commencement speech to the graduating class, Markle has addressed the killing of George Floyd, in an obvious incident of police brutality.

In the short video message, Markle highlights that while this is not the first incident of its kind, it is “absolutely devastating”. She went on to say that while she was unsure of what to say, she realized that, “the only wrong thing to say is saying nothing at all”.

Markle went on to say, “George Floyd’s life mattered and Breonna Taylor’s life mattered, and Philando Castile’s life mattered and Tamir Rice’s life mattered… and so did so many other people whose names we know and whose names we do not know. Stephan Clark, his life mattered.”
