Mehwish Hayat expressed her displeasure with internet users

Mehwish Hayat, Pakistani actress, has also expressed her displeasure with internet users, clarifying her earlier statement on the government.

“I did not say anything against the government,” she responded on Twitter. “We live in a democratic society, and every person here, including myself, has the right to hold every member of the government accountable.”

“You can’t stop me from exercising my democratic right by using bad language or calling me by immoral names, it all reflects your dirty minds,” Mehwish Hayat said.

In a tweet lamenting the country’s atrocities against women, actress Mehwish Hayat requested the government to explain what it is doing to bring about change. Mehwish further stated that the time for slogans had passed.

Some users have condemned the actress as a result of her statement.
