Baaghi TV: Several soldiers have been reported killed in armed clashes between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces since Sunday.

An Azerbaijani army general, a colonel and five soldiers have been confirmed dead in fresh clashes on Tuesday. Eleven Azerbaijani soldiers have been killed so far in clashes with the Armenian army. Azerbaijan, on the other hand, claims that at least 100 Armenian soldiers have been killed, a claim denied by Armenian authorities. Russia has called on both Central Asian states to reduce tensions.

According to a Foreign Office spokesman, the Armenian army attacked the Azerbaijani town of Tuz on July 12, killing many Azerbaijanis.

Expressing condolences to the bereaved families, the Foreign Office spokesman said that the failure to resolve the Nogorno Karabakh conflict was a serious threat to peace in the region. The attack would pose a significant threat to the security of the region and undermine efforts to resolve the conflict peacefully.

The Foreign Office said that the Armenian move was aimed at misleading the international community, reiterating its principled position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and fully supporting Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
