Mumbai, 27th September: Reportedly, Mobile phones of the Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and others have been seized by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

According to reports from NDTV, mobile phones of actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh are among those seized by the Narcotics Control Bureau in its probe into allegations of drug abuse in Bollywood triggered by the death of movie star Sushant Singh Rajput.

Deepika Padukone was summoned by NCB on Saturday and probed for six hours regarding the recent drug case. Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan were also summoned by the bureau.

Mobile phones of Sushant Singh’s manager Jaya Saha and fashion designer Simone Khambatta have also been seized by NCB and have been sent for forensic examination in the case that has relied on recovered chat messages and has not led to the discovery of any contraband so far.

Sources in the Narcotics Control Bureau have revealed that their aim is to go after drug cartels and not individual consumers and that they have summoned Bollywood A-listers to understand the network of supply through alleged consumers.

Agency sources said that the actors are not been named as accused in any drugs probe case, and are only being questioned.

Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan reach Mumbai for NCB probe

The names of Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor were found in WhatsApp chats on the phone of Jaya Saha, Sushant Singh Rajput’s talent manager. Jaya Saha has also been questioned by the drug probe agency.

The probe into drug links started when the actress Rhea Chakraborty was questioned by NCB three months after the mysterious death of the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput in his Mumbai home on  14th June.
