Lahore, 21st June: Pakistan’s model Jia Ali shared details about her recent marriage with cricket coach Imran Idrees in a private ceremony.

The 48-year-old actress Jia Ali tied the knot with Imran Idrees in a small ceremony in Lahore last month, which came as a surprise for her friends, family and fans.

Talking to TV host Nida Yasir on ARY Digital moring ‘Good Morning Pakistan’ on Monday, Jia spilled beans about how she met her husband about four-five years back through Facebook messages.

She opened up and said that Imran reached out to her to attend an event in Hong Kong back then. Despite the fact that their meeting was a short one, but Imran’s eloquent personality left its mark on Jia Ali who was thoroughly impressed by his respectful behavior.

After that, the two didn’t get in touch until four months ago when they talked to each other. Jia shared how one day she approached her husband four months back to ask for his help.

She disclosed, “Imran came to Karachi on April 1 to ask for her hand and for a moment she thought if it was an April Fool joke.”

But Imran, 44, was so sure when he told her on the phone that she knew right at that moment he isn’t one to joke.

Despite an age difference of four-five years, the couple said that their families were excited with their decision and supported them all through. Both the families accepted them with open arms.
