More Sinovac Vaccine Doses to Arrive in Pakistan Today

ISLAMABAD: According to reports, 3 million vaccination doses of China’s Sinovac vaccine will reach in Pakistan today.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight is carrying the consignment from china and will arrive in Islamabad by 1pm.
According to sources, Pakistan has purchased three million doses of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine. When the vaccine arrives, it will be distributed to all the provinces to speed up vaccination procedure across the country.
Government has also purchased 23 million vaccination doses of Sinopharm which will arrive next month from China. More doses of Sinovac are also expected next month.
US has also announced to donate 2.5 million vaccination doses of the Moderna vaccine to Pakistan to help fight the virus.
