Another record broken in India as more than 4 lakh patients reported, meanwhile, Delhi runs out of vaccines.
According to reports, every day a new record of corona patients is being set in India. In one day, the number of corona patients in India has come to more than four lakh, which is a new world record. According to reports, 41,993 new cases of corona virus have been reported in India in the last 24 hours, during which 3,523 deaths have been reported while 299,988 patients have recovered.
There is a severe shortage of oxygen in many parts of India. In Delhi, relatives of patients are doing the the rounds for oxygen. Meanwhile, many organizations have made arrangements to provide free oxygen. A gurdwara in Delhi has also started oxygen anchorage, from where free oxygen cylinders are being provided to deserving patients.
There is growing public resentment against the government over the rise in Corona cases and people are accusing both the state and central governments of doing nothing. Concerning the vaccination of citizens above 18 years of age, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the government does not yet have a vaccine, so people should not line up at vaccination centers. He added that the government will inform everyone as soon as the vaccine arrives. We will get 300,000 doses of COVDI Shield by tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. All preparations have been completed on our part, but it also requires the cooperation of the people, he added.
It is clear that the situation in India is dire. People are angry, patients are dying on the streets, hospitals are full, there is a shortage of oxygen, and there is no one to cure the suffering of the citizens. According to reports, oxygen crisis has been going on in many hospitals of Delhi for many days. The Delhi government has raised hopes from the central government and the quota for Delhi has also been increased by the central government but the situation is deteriorating due to the increase in the number of corona patients as the supply of oxygen also takes time.
