New Delhi: Fed up with starvation due to lockdown in India, a woman has reportedly committed suicide. Before her death, the mother had taken a loan of Rs 10 to satisfy the hunger of her young child.

According to a report by a foreign news agency, the incident took place in the city of Malegaon in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The mother had been begging for money for the past several weeks due to the lockdown, but she died of exhaustion.

According to the report, a 23-year-old woman named Fatima Jamil Ahmed committed suicide by hanging in the Ramzanpura area of ​​the city. Due to the lockdown, the woman’s husband had also become unemployed and had no money to run the house.
