Last night, police conducted a search operation in Kasur to nab the main accused and arrested five close relatives of Abid. In Rao Khanwala village near Kasur Road, a heavy contingent of Lahore Police, CTD, CIA and Kasur Police conducted a search operation in an area of two kilometers to arrest accused Abid Ali.

The main accused was not caught but police arrested two of his cousins, a woman and two other relatives who were in constant touch with Abid.
According to police sources, all these persons had contacted Abid Ali two days ago. The detainees have been shifted from Kasur to Lahore where they are being interrogated about the accused.

Police have also arrested the accused’s wife. The main accused Abid’s wife Bushra Bibi was taken into police custody from Manga Mandi. Bushra Bibi is second wife of the accused Abid.
The woman, a resident of Tandlianwala Tehsil of Faisalabad, has four children. According to sources, Bushra Bibi had fled with Abid during the police raid on Sattar Shah Fort.

Police blocked the identity cards of the main accused Abid and his wife. The accused could not produce any documents due to the blocking of the identity cards.
