Motorway Rape Case: Accused Abbas makes his apology

Lahore, 14th September: In significant progress in Lahore Motorway Rape Case, an accused Abbas has come forward and presented himself to the police.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, an accused by the name of Abbas handed himself to the Sheikhupura police and has now apologized.

In a recent development in the Motorway Rape Case, an accused Abbas who is the brother-in-law of the accused Waqar has accepted his involvement in the case.

Abbas was using SIM in the name of accused Waqar. During the investigation, Abbas’s name came up in geo-fencing.

Earlier, Waqar ul Hassan had appeared at the CIA Model Town police station. During which he also mentioned the name of Abbas after which the police started searching for him but now he has appeared before the police himself.

Now the alleged Abbas has apologized for his actions stating, “I am handing myself over to the police. I hope I get justice. The one who was abused was like my sister. I hope the police will do me justice.”

He also revealed that he has three daughters, who are young.

Earlier, alleged accused Abbas said in his video statement before the police that he had no contact with Abid. He worked with me, we work in a steel mill, the extent of our relationship is relevant to work. I have no contact with him. I want to present myself, justice will be done to me. Where the incident took place, I did not go. I didn’t go beyond Ali Steel, I didn’t go anywhere.”

It may be recalled that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and IG Punjab Inam Ghani had identified two accused Abid and Waqar ul Hassan involved in the motorway abuse case.

On the other hand, the main accused in the case of rape of a woman on the motorway has not been arrested yet. Police also detained Abid’s brother-in-law and other relatives. Raids are underway to arrest the main accused.
