Motorway Sexual Abuse: Female testimonies of public sexual harassment increase

Baaghi TV: According to the reports, in the wake of the Motorway sexual abuse case, more and more images and/or or videos are being shared that highlight the dangerously high percentage of moral corruption in society.

On Thursday, 10th September a woman was raped in front of her children on the motorway. The woman’s car on the motorway had run out of petrol and she had locked the car from inside. However, the accused reached the spot and broke the glass of the car.

The suspects sexually abused the woman, including her children. The woman’s medical report proved sexual abuse.

Police began searching for the suspects after the incident on the motorway. To arrest the accused, 28 police teams were formed and are conducting raids at various places to search for the accused.

On Friday, 11th September, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar sought a report from RPO DG Khan about an alleged incident of woman’s molestation in Taunsa and directed to arrest the criminals early. He has also assured the affected family that justice will be done at every cost.

On the same day, 11th September, a female nurse at Pakistan Institute of Medical Science has registered the harassment case against Deputy Executive Director.

The case has been registered with the Karachi Company police, in which the applicant claimed that she was on routine duty when she received a message that deputy executive director Iqbal Durrani has summoned her to his office. When she arrived in his office, the officer attempted to harass her but she escaped from there.

Another harassment incident on 11th September came forward when Samar Khan, a female cyclist, has reportedly also been sexually harassed on the streets of the capital city, Islamabad.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, Samar Khan, a female cyclist from Dir area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was also allegedly sexually harassed on the streets of Islamabad.

Cyclist Samar Khan said in a video of the incident on social networking site Twitter that she was cycling on the streets of Islamabad when a man harassed her. A man in a maroon color shirt touched me inappropriately, she stated.

Samar Khan said that I always promoted cycling, promoted women’s sports, I tried to chase this man on a bicycle but he escaped.

On Sunday, 13th September, five youths were arrested and handed over to police on charges of harassing a woman in a car on Murree Expressway.

According to the motorway police, the woman had complained on the phone that five youths in the car were chasing her and harassing her.

Motorway police, acting on a tip-off, arrested the youths near Zafar Mor on Murree Expressway. The youths were handed over to the police from Tret check post after interrogation.

Another case on 13th September came forward in which an 18-year-old boy was allegedly raped and killed in Kahuta Tehsil, Rawalpindi District.

A photo of the body of young Umair Ali is circulating on social media. Police reached the spot and took the body of the deceased into custody.

Yesterday another girl, Afia Safdar, shared a picture on Twitter saying that she is being harassed and she wants people to know the faces of the ones harassing her.

May the rapists and harassers brought to justice. Pakistan is an Islamic Republic and we want the leaders to take a severe actions against it. Criminal laws need reforms. May these victims get justice. Ameen.
