Lahore, 13th August: Police have taken into custody the mother of the key suspect in the murder case of Mubashir Khokhar, brother of Punjab Minister Asad Khokhar.

According to details from ARY News, the police on Friday took into custody the mother of the suspect Nazim, who is accused of killing MPA Asad Khokhar’s brother a week ago.

According to sources close to the matter, there were reports that an amount of Rs 10 million had been deposited in Nazim’s mother’s bank account, after which she was taken into custody by the police.

Police investigators also found out a sum of around Rs 15 million present in an account owned by the suspect Nazim.

According to further reports, it has emerged that the suspect Nazim and his brother were employed by Mubashir Khokhar. Sources have informed that police are investigating where did the suspect receive such a huge amount of money and who is behind the murder of the Punjab Minister’s brother.

Furthermore, sources have disclosed that the suspect keeps on changing his statement on a daily basis since he was arrested last week.

Earlier, Baaghi TV reported that on August 7, the accused Nazim had confessed to killing MPA Asad Khokhar’s brother in ‘revenge’.

During the initial investigation by police, Nazim had told that Malik Mubashir, the MPA’s brother, was allegedly involved in the murders of his brother and uncle.

On the contrary to Nazim’s statement, the police sources said that no uncle of the accused was killed.

It may be recalled that the firing incident took place in Lahore on August 6 at the wedding ceremony of Asad Khokhar’s son during which MPA’s brother Mubashir Khokhar was killed.
