Mushaal Mullick Demands Husband Yasin Malik's Release

Islamabad: The Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organization, Mushaal Mullick, has called on the Indian government to immediately release her husband Yasin Malik from the Tihar Jail, on account of the latter’s mother and sister battling for their lives.

According to reports, Mushaal Mullick, wife of Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, who has been imprisoned, has stated that both Malik’s sister and wife have caught coronavirus and are in critical conditions. They have been hospitalized and on account of that, she has demanded her husband’s immediate release from the Indian prison on humanitarian grounds.

The Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization further informed that Malik’s mother’s health was declining at a fast pace since the brutal occupation authorities had not let her see her son in over two years.

The Hurriyat leader appealed to everyone that they should pray for her mother-in-law and sister-in-law’s health. She further ululated how her Yasin Malik was also facing serious health problems but the Indian government had not provided him with any medicines, stating how the fascist government had used all possible cruel and barbaric means to silence him. Yet, they couldn’t, she said.

Mushaal Mullick went on to say that her husband is the torch-bearer of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and that he would never give up. She further said that the Indian forces had spared no effort in dealing all kinds of barbaric and brutal cruelties to innocent, unarmed Kashmiris, yet the world looked on silently.

She further expressed her condolences over the passing of Kashmiri leader Raja Merajuddin’s mother and also demanded his release, stating that he should at least be allowed to perform his mother’s last rites.
