Must Watch Pakistani Dramas of 2020
Lahore, 30th June: Various dramas air every day on different channels, making it extremely difficult for the viewers to choose which one to watch. Viewers end up choosing the drama which is engaging, has a good story, steady pace, solid performances, and a skillful direction.
With all the various dramas being aired nowadays, there only a few which actually fall in the must-watch category.
1. Ishqiya:
This Pakistani drama directed by Badar Mehmood and produced by Fahad Mustafa and Dr. Ali Kazmi under Big Bang Entertainment premiered on ARY Digital on 3 February 2020. This Drama is an interesting watch as it deviates from the conventional Pakistani drama love triangle storyline.

Moreover, the cast members, which include Hania Amir, Feroze Khan, Gohar Rasheed, Ramsha Khan have portrayed their characters phenomenally. Other than the hooking storyline and amazing acting, the character development through this well-paced drama has impressed its many viewers.
2. Zebaish:
This new drama recently premiered on Hum TV on 12 June 2020. It is directed by Iqbal Hussain, produced by Momina Duraid under their banner MD Production, and is written by Bushra Ansari herself.
Before it was premiered, there was a lot of hype for this drama due to its star-studded cast which includes Bushra Ansari, Zara Noor Abbas, Asad Siddiqui, Asma Abbas, and Qavi Khan amongst others. Moreover, its teaser trailer had many viewers anticipating this drama. Although its first few episodes have not appealed many, and the actors have been accused of overacting, we are still hopeful that the drama will improve further on the storyline.

3. Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida:
This television drama premiered on Hum TV on 17 June 2020. It is directed by Barkat Sidiki, who is also its producer alongside Zayed Sheikh. The drama stars Zahid Ahmed, Sonya Hussain, and Mansha Pasha in lead roles.
Prior to it even being premiered, the drama received a lot of backlash and criticism for being a copy of a Bollywood movie. But, in reality, the drama is based on the traditional folk tale of Lila Chanesar. The characters of this drama are surprisingly still relevant during today’s time, especially the character of Sonya Hussain, Ulfat, which represents the materialistic mindset of many people nowadays. The drama brings forth an important lesson for the people: to be happy with what you have.
