Myths about the Corona vaccine and its side effects!

There are lots of misconceptions and anxieties about the Corona vaccine. I just want to shed some light on the basics of this vaccine. Let’s have some information about this vaccine and lessen some of our fears about it!

Types of vaccine:

Right now, vaccines are being prepared by three methods.

1: Inactivated viral vaccine

The virus is Inactivated through a chemical, or one could say the dead virus is injected into the body. Our body gets alert and makes antibodies for its protection so when the actual virus enters our body, it gets killed right away.

Example: Sinopharm

2: Viral vector vaccine

The Protein of the actual virus is transmitted into a safe virus, and an artificial virus is made. And our body takes necessary precautions against this actual virus to look alike.

So when the real virus enters our body, it’s killed right there.

Example: Oxford/AstraZeneca

3: mRNA vaccine

This vaccine also acts as a viral vector vaccine. The only difference is that the Protein in this vaccine is made in a laboratory.

Example: BioNTech/Pfizer

Now something about what experiments were done before using this vaccine on humans.

As in any other vaccine, lots of experiments are done before using it on humans to check the efficacy and safety of the vaccine.

Usually, each vaccine is passed through 4 levels of safety & precautions.

The vaccine is checked on different animals like mice or rabbits, to check if it’s harmful or not, after that only it is tested on humans.

Human clinical trials:

First, this vaccine is tested on a small group of people who willingly allow it. These people are checked on a daily basis to find out the side effects.

After the first trials, it is tested on larger groups of people. They are observed and tested for months like the first batch.

Then there’s the third trial where a much larger area is used, with their consent, tested and observed for months again.

The Corona vaccine was tested for almost a year before it was allowed for use on humans. No lethal side effects we found during the experiments.

Side Effects:

Like all other vaccines, the are some negligible side effects. Which only indicates that our immune system is working properly.

After the vaccine, light temperatures, body aches, pain in the joints, and pain at the injected place, could be expected, but it gets ok in one or two days. Which is a very small price to pay as it can save our life.

In Pakistan, after injecting 15 million people only about a dozen people had severe side effects, which afterward were found not related to the vaccine.

Mostly mild temperatures and some pain at the injected place are observed in Pakistan.

AstraZeneca vaccine: Very rarely people may develop very unusual blood clots with low platelets after this vaccine. The risk of this very rare condition is higher in younger people.

But keep in mind that it’s an extremely rare side effect. Only a few dozen of people develop this side effect among millions of people who were vaccinated.

It is completely safe for people above 40.

Myth Busters:

1: The presence of a chip in the vaccine, not possible. As the vaccine is made of a dead virus or lookalike virus, any chip presence in it is impossible.

Even if it’s there it would be visible in the injection, which it never is, and it’s impossible for the chip to go through the injection needles. And no chip has been made yet which isn’t visible through our eyes.

2: Will people die after two years of vaccination?

Vaccines are made to save lives, not to kill them. There have been no deaths reported after vaccination.
And we have a firm belief that only Allah knows about the life and death of any living creature.

3: Possibility of sterility:

Dead vaccine viruses save from the illness. It cannot cause any other illnesses.

And as Muslims, we also believe that having babies is only in Allah’s Hands.

4: If the vaccine is administered by force?

No vaccine is administered by force, individually.

But as a society, it is our duty to get vaccinated and save ourselves and other people around us. Some institutions might force their employees to vaccination, as there are lots of people working in any institution, it is necessary to make it safe for others.

5: Why it is said to get vaccinated at your own risk?

Although the vaccines are very safe they cannot be administered without your consent. And the staff administering the vaccine aren’t responsible for any reaction that’s why it is said to get vaccinated at your own risk.

After knowing all these facts, I conclude that the vaccinations are made to save lives, not otherwise. And we need to have a firm belief on Allah, Who creates a disease and also it’s cure.

Let’s all get vaccinated to save ourselves, along with our family and numerous other people attached to our lives.
