The ruling PTI get its first budget for Fiscal year 2019-20 passed despite several attempts by opposition to thwart it.

According to the reports of Baaghitv, Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf get its first budget passed in National Assembly session marred by uproar and ruckus. The government successfully defeated the opposition in number game as Government garnered 175 votes in response to 146 votes of opposition.

Opposition rejected the budget and termed it ‘selected’ budget and against the people. Opposition decried the PTIMF budget and presented amendments for the good-will and development of country but all the amendments they proposed, were rejected. PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi speaking on the floor said, “This is an anti-growth budget that will bring in unemployment, poverty and backwardness,”

State Minister for Revenue responded to opposition criticism and said previous governments are responsible for the economic woes of the county and PTI government is taking all possible measures to steer country out of crisis.
