NAB has arrested former prime minister Abbasi in a probe relating to multi-billion-rupee corruption in awarding LNG contract on Thursday.
According to reports of Baaghitv, A 12 member team of National Accountability Bureau, probing the multi-billion-rupee scam in award of Liquefied Natural Gas. NAB Chairman also issued warrant of former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail as well as former managing director of Pakistan State Oil Sheikh Imranul Haque.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was summoned by NAB Rawalpindi today but he did not show up and was traveling to Lahore to join PML-N leaders Ahsan Iqbal and Maryam Aurangzeb at a press conference in Lahore, when he was arrested by NAB on the Thokar Niazbaig interchange.
NAB has arrested Abbasi for not providing answers to the questions asked by NAB investigating team. According to resources of Baaghitv, NAB has asked 75 questions while he only answered 20 questions.
