NAB opposes plea, suspension of punishment of former PM NS

Islamabad, June 15, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has opposed the plea seeking suspension of sentence of Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Al Azizia reference.
NAB has filed its reply in the Islamabad High Court, where the Al Azizia case is being heard.
NAB Deputy prosecutor general Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi has submitted his reply in the IHC that the 7 year imprisonment was set after viewing all evidences set before it. he further stated that Nawaz Sharif is a convict and he should not be released on bail because he is a convicted prisoner. Nab further stated that all his medical reports are fine to the extent that none have declared any want of any emergency surgeries.
Therefore court should dismiss his plea seeking suspension of punishment as it is non-maintainable. The follow up hearing of the case will be conducted on June 19 in the IHC
