Lahore, 4th July: Leading Pakistani actress and philanthropist Nadia Jamil recently released a heartening video from London’s Heathrow Airport.

The actress who recently recovered from breast cancer was supposed to take off on July 3 and reach Lahore on July 4 after a period of two years, had to face severe difficulty at the hands of British Airways at the airport.

The actress posted a video message on her Twitter handle with tears in her eyes and described the immoral behavior of British Airways for their negligence.

Earlier she shared a traumatic and awful experience of her life at London’s Heathrow Airport. She wrote, “I have never had such a traumatic & awful experience in my life. Cancer & chemotherapy was easier than the treatment I got at @britishairways Heathrow. Abandoned in a wheelchair w suitcases lying all around me. Curt, nasty attitudes. Contradictory requests. Exhausted, drained and depleted.”

Later Nadia Jamil posted a video and wrote, “Shocking @British Airways. I came to the airport at 6.30 pm. 11 pm this is me. Drained, alone. I had informed the staff of my health. Why would they leave me like this? I kept speaking out for someone to help. Everyone ignored me. After offloading me. At least help me a little. Bad show.”

With tears in her eyes, the social activist said that ‘I can not push myself around because there are no wheels in my wheelchair, there is no one here to help me, they have all left me. Now I will try to get up and put my luggage on the trolley myself.

The actress said that I have to go out on my own and find a taxi for myself. On Monday I will go to the office of the Pakistan High Commission, Jamil informed.

Social media users expressed their grief over Nadia’s post and raised their voices in her favor.

Senior actress Samina Peerzada condemned such behavior and wrote what happened to Nadia Jamil is not acceptable.
