Washington, April 14 2021: Starting his term in office during the pandemic and grappling with the worst crisis being faced by the world’s largest economy in years, President Joe Biden has hit the ground running and to mark his first 100 days, he has accepted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s invitation to deliver a speech to a joint session of congress on the 28th of April, a night before his 100 day mark.

Not the traditional State of the Union Address, brand new leader Biden will instead deliver a speech to a joint session of Congress. He is likely to talk about his ambitious agenda to tackle the coronavirus crisis and its devastating effect the US economy.

A successful execution of the corona virus vaccine roll out is also an indicator of how he means to go on. The pandemic has hit America harder than any other country, with more than 560,000 dead but with 200million doses already administered, the country is back on the track of recovery.

The president has also moved aggressively to reverse Trump’s “America First” go-it-alone foreign policy disregarding traditional US alliances and international cooperation on issues including the Paris Agreement.

The whooping $1.9 trillion stimulus package to help the economy bounce back from the pandemic has helped cement his position further. His administration also has presented a $2 trillion plan to overhaul America’s crumbling infrastructure grid and retool the US economy to better address climate change.

The invitation by Pelosi read, “Nearly 100 days ago, when you took the oath of office, you pledged in a spirit of great hope that ‘Help Is On The Way,’ now, because of your historic and transformative leadership, Help Is Here!”
