National unity needed to achieve enduring regional peace, says Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi urged the need for national unity to achieve enduring peace in the region, while briefing national assembly on Monday.

According to reports of Baaghitv, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmmod Qureshi, while briefing the National Assembly about premier visit of USA and national security situation said, there might be hindered  of differences between parties and individuals, but the national unity and sovereignty binds them.

He stressed the need for national unity to fight the challenges being faced by the country. He was asked by opposition leader in National Assembly, Shehbaz Sharif for the briefing.

Qureshi referred to the unity displayed by the country against Indian aggression in the February 2019, following the attack on Indian forces in Pulwama district of Indian Occupied Kashmir. He added, The world expects Pakistan to reaffirm that we are one nation with one objective and we desire peace and stability because our own peace and stability is linked to Afghanistan’s peace and stability,”
