Nawaz Sharif speaks up against Saqib Nisar

Islamabad: Nawaz Sharif speaks up against former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar.

According to reports, new details were revealed, based on conspiracies. Ashraf Ausaf, the Attorney General of the Nawaz Sharif era has revealed a number of details which Nawaz Sharif and PML-N are unable deny. According to Ashtar Ausaf, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wanted to remove Chief Justice Saqib Nisar.

He stated that upon opposition from President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and himself, this reference was dropped.

He went on to further state that when Saqib Nisar disqualified Nawaz Sharif and removed him from the post of Prime Minister, the ousted Prime Minister wished to get rid of him, but his successor Shahid Khaqan Abbasi convinced him to refrain from such actions.

The former Attorney General pointed that out that Nawaz Sharif was misled by some elements in the Pakistan Muslim League-N government but did not identify them, stating that when these concerns were relayed to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, he changed his decision.

According to Ashtar Ausaf, it was late 2017 or early 2018 when Shahid Khaqan Abbasi summoned him to his office and showed him a copy of the reference. He did not read it and asked him not move ahead.

The former Attorney General stated that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi agreed with him after hearing his stance. Ashtra Ausaf said that no such reference would be acceptable by the Supreme Court as the Supreme Judicial Council is headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan. This move would also be unwelcome in legal circles.
